Soft and tender pink sugar cookies topped with creamy frosting, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • pink food coloring


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Cream butter and sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream.
  3. Mix dry ingredients separately, then combine with wet ingredients.
  4. Form dough balls and place on lined baking tray.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set.
  6. Prepare frosting by mixing butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, milk, and coloring.
  7. Spread frosting on cooled cookies and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overbake
  • Chill dough if needed
  • Frost only after cookies cool
