- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 12 oz. can of your favorite fruit pie filling (apple, cherry, peach, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the stick of butter in an 8×8 casserole dish and melt it in the oven as it heats up.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, and milk.
- Once the butter has melted, remove the casserole dish from the oven and pour the flour mixture over the melted butter.
- Pour the fruit pie filling evenly over the batter. Do not stir.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes, or until the top crust is golden brown and bubbly.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can use any fruit pie filling of your choice (such as apple, peach, cherry, or blueberry).
- This pie can be served warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence.
- The crust forms naturally during baking, so no need to worry about mixing it into the batter.
