Description

A creamy and comforting layered dish made with thinly sliced potatoes, rich sauce, and melted cheese baked to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C or 350°F.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and cook onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add heavy cream, milk, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning, then stir.
  4. Grease a baking dish lightly.
  5. Layer sliced potatoes, pour sauce, and sprinkle cheese.
  6. Repeat layers and finish with cheese on top.
  7. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for 25 minutes until golden.
  8. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
