- 4 cups whole milk

Instructions
- Place a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add rice, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well.
- Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat and cook for 25–30 minutes, stirring often, until rice is tender and pudding thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and raisins if using.
- Sprinkle with nutmeg and extra cinnamon.
- Serve warm or refrigerate for a chilled version.
