Description

These Saucy Roast Beef and Swiss Sliders are layered with savory roast beef, melted Swiss cheese, and a tangy buttery glaze, baked to perfection on soft slider rolls. Ideal for parties, game nights, or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • Slider Rolls: 12-pack, horizontally sliced – Soft, sweet rolls serve as the perfect base and top.
  • Roast Beef: ¾ pound, thinly sliced – Tender and juicy, it brings rich, savory meatiness.
  • Swiss Cheese: 8–10 slices – Melts beautifully and adds that signature nutty flavor.
  • Mayonnaise: ¼ cup – Adds creaminess and helps anchor the layers.
  • Dijon Mustard: 2 tablespoons – Brings a tangy kick to balance the richness.
  • Unsalted Butter: 4 tablespoons (½ stick) – Forms the base of the luscious glaze.
  • Worcestershire Sauce: 1 tablespoon – Adds umami depth to the buttery topping.
  • Onion Powder: 1 teaspoon – Infuses subtle flavor into every bite.
  • Poppy Seeds: 1 teaspoon – Adds texture and visual flair on top.
  • Garlic Powder: ½ teaspoon – Rounds out the flavor with savory warmth.
  • Salt: ¼ teaspoon – Balances the sauce without overpowering.

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease or line a 9×13 baking dish with parchment.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and poppy seeds. Set aside.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Place the bottom halves of the slider rolls in the baking dish in one even layer.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Spread the mayo-mustard mixture on the bottom rolls. Layer half of the Swiss cheese, then all the roast beef, then the remaining cheese. Top with the roll lids.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Brush the tops generously with the melted butter mixture. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Finishing Touches: Remove foil and bake for an additional 5–7 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is fully melted.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Let rest for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm. Watch them disappear!

Notes

  • Make the sauce ahead of time and store in the fridge.
  • Toast roll bottoms lightly before assembling to prevent sogginess.
  • Add jalapeños or pickles for extra zing.
  • Use parchment paper for easier removal and cleanup.
