- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/2 medium onion, chopped
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed golden mushroom soup
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed Cheddar cheese soup
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen French fries
- 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until beef is no longer pink and onion is translucent. Drain off excess grease and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Return skillet to the heat and stir in golden mushroom soup and Cheddar cheese soup. Mix well and heat through.
- Transfer beef mixture to a 9×13-inch baking dish. Top with a layer of frozen French fries.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until the fries are golden brown.
- Remove casserole from oven, sprinkle with shredded Cheddar cheese, and return to oven just until cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!

- For extra flavor, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce or ketchup to the beef mixture.
- Use your favorite frozen fries—crinkle, shoestring, or waffle all work well.
