Description

An elegant salad featuring tender slices of smoked duck, caramelized grilled peaches, creamy goat cheese, toasted walnuts, and fresh mixed greens tossed in a light balsamic vinaigrette. Sweet, smoky, and perfectly balanced.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces smoked duck breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 large fresh peaches, halved and pitted
  • 5 cups mixed salad greens
  • 3 ounces goat cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Lightly brush the cut sides of the peaches with a little olive oil.
  4. Place peaches cut side down on the grill and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until grill marks appear. Flip and grill for another 2 minutes until slightly softened. Remove and let cool slightly, then slice.
  5. In a large bowl, gently toss mixed greens with half of the vinaigrette until lightly coated.
  6. Arrange dressed greens on a serving platter.
  7. Top with sliced smoked duck, grilled peach slices, crumbled goat cheese, and toasted walnuts.
  8. Drizzle remaining vinaigrette over the top.
  9. Serve immediately while peaches are slightly warm.

Notes

  • Slice the duck thinly for the best texture.
  • Do not overdress the greens to keep them crisp.
  • Toast walnuts in a dry pan for deeper flavor.
  • Assemble just before serving for maximum freshness.
