- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- In a separate bowl, combine melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in molasses, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top evenly.
- Bake for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- For extra stickiness, brush the warm loaf with a light sugar syrup after baking.
- Use fresh spices for the best flavor.
- The loaf tastes even better the next day as the flavors deepen.
- Store tightly wrapped to maintain moisture.
