Celebrate love with these gorgeous Strawberry Shortcake Parfaits, featuring heart-shaped strawberry slices for a romantic twist. Perfect for Valentine’s Day or any occasion that calls for a sweet and elegant dessert!

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, washed and hulled
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 store-bought pound cake (or homemade), cut into cubes
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter (small size)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Strawberries: Slice the strawberries into 1/4-inch slices. Use a small heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut hearts from the strawberry slices. Set aside the scraps for layering.
  2. Make the Whipped Cream: In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Keep chilled until ready to use.
  3. Assemble the Parfaits:
    • In a clear glass or jar, add a layer of pound cake cubes.
    • Add a spoonful of whipped cream, spreading evenly.
    • Add a layer of heart-shaped strawberry slices, along with the scraps for extra flavor.
    • Repeat the layers until the glass is full, ending with whipped cream on top.
  4. Garnish: Top with a few heart-shaped strawberry slices for decoration.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.

 

Notes

  • You can use store-bought pound cake to save time, or make a homemade version if preferred.
