Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 3/4 cup white chocolate, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, combine water, milk, and butter. Bring to a boil, then add flour all at once and stir until dough forms. Cook 1 minute more, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let cool 5 minutes. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth and glossy.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag. Pipe small mounds onto baking sheet and smooth tops with a damp finger.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes until puffed and golden. Cool completely on a wire rack.
- Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Slice buns open, fill with whipped cream and strawberries, then drizzle with melted white chocolate.
- Serve immediately or chill briefly before serving.
Notes
- Let dough cool slightly before adding eggs to avoid scrambling.
- Chill bowl and cream for best whipping results.
- Fill buns just before serving to keep them crisp.
- Unfilled buns can be made ahead and refreshed in the oven.
