Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
2 boxes Macaroni and Cheese (your preferred brand; boiling water, milk, and butter are usually needed)
1 can Rotel (seasoned diced tomatoes)
1 packet taco seasoning (usually requires water)
Instructions
Prepare the Mac and Cheese:
In one pot, prepare the macaroni and cheese according to the instructions on the box.
Brown the Meat:
In a separate pan, brown the ground beef (or ground turkey) and drain any excess fat.
Season the Meat:
Add the taco seasoning to the browned meat (which usually requires water) and stir until well combined.
Add Rotel:
Add the can of Rotel tomatoes to the seasoned meat. Stir and allow the tomatoes to warm as the taco meat simmers.
Combine:
Once the macaroni and cheese is ready, add it to the seasoned meat mixture. Stir until thoroughly combined and serve warm.
Notes
You can add toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or green onions to enhance the flavor.
For extra heat, add a diced jalapeño or a few dashes of hot sauce to the meat mixture.
