These chocolate chip cookies are everything you want—soft in the center, crisp on the edges, and loaded with melty chocolate chips. The ultimate cookie indulgence that never fails to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Scoop dough in 2-tablespoon portions onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are just set.
  7. Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a chewier cookie, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking.
  • Swap semi-sweet chips for dark or milk chocolate if preferred.
  • Add a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top before baking for an elevated touch!
