Description

Warm steak tortillas filled with juicy sliced steak, melted cheddar cheese, sautéed peppers, onions, and creamy sour cream for a flavorful and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 6 medium flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 fresh lime

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season sliced flank steak with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add cooking oil to the skillet and sauté onions and bell peppers for about 6 minutes until softened.
  4. Remove vegetables and cook steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked.
  5. Return vegetables to the skillet and stir together with the steak.
  6. Fill tortillas with steak mixture and shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Fold tortillas and cook briefly in the skillet until lightly crisp and cheese melts.
  8. Top with sour cream and fresh lime juice before serving.
  9. Serve immediately while warm and cheesy.

Notes

  • Slice steak thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Warm tortillas before filling to prevent cracking.
  • Use freshly shredded cheese for smoother melting.
  • Air frying the tortillas also works well for extra crispiness.
