This Crockpot Mississippi Pot Roast is an easy and delicious meal that’s packed with flavor! Made with a chuck roast, ranch seasoning, au jus mix, butter, and pepperoncini peppers, it’s a tender, melt-in-your-mouth dish that requires minimal effort. Perfect for busy days!

- 1 chuck roast
- 1 packet Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet McCormick Au Jus mix
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
- 5 pepperoncini peppers (from a jar)
Instructions
- Place the chuck roast in the crockpot.
- Sprinkle the Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix over the roast.
- Sprinkle the McCormick Au Jus mix on top of the ranch seasoning.
- Place a stick of butter on top of the roast.
- Add about 5 pepperoncini peppers on top of the butter.
- Do not add water.
- Cover and cook in the crockpot on low heat for about 8 hours.
- Once done, shred the roast and serve with your choice of sides.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can serve the roast with mashed potatoes or over rice.
- Adjust the number of pepperoncini peppers depending on your spice preference.
- If you prefer a thicker gravy, you can shred the roast and let it cook in the sauce for an additional 30 minutes to thicken.
