Description

This creamy White Cheese (Queso) Dip is the perfect snack for any party or get-together. Made with American cheese, spices, and a little kick from green chiles or jalapeños, this dip will be the star of your next spread! Serve it with tortilla chips, veggies, or your favorite appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound white, deli-sliced American cheese
  • ⅔ cup of milk or half-and-half
  • 3-4 tablespoons of canned, chopped green chiles or jalapeños
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slow Cooker Method: If using a slow cooker, turn it to the lowest setting. Dump all ingredients into the slow cooker, heat, and stir occasionally until thickened and creamy.
  2. Double Boiler Method: If using a double boiler, heat the milk, chopped chiles, and spices. Gradually add in the American cheese, 1-2 slices at a time, stirring until fully melted and the dip is smooth and blended together.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
  • If you prefer a smoother consistency, adjust the amount of milk to your liking.
