Description
A fun burger-inspired taco made with crispy tortillas, seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar, lettuce, pickles, onions, and creamy burger sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced pickles
- 1/4 cup finely diced white onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and a pinch of paprika until smooth to make the sauce.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and season it with the remaining paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook the beef for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking it apart, until fully browned.
- Press a thin layer of cooked beef onto each flour tortilla and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Place each taco beef-side down in the skillet and cook until the tortilla is crisp and the cheese is melted.
- Top with shredded lettuce, diced onion, sliced pickles, and burger sauce.
- Fold gently and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef so the tortillas stay crisp instead of greasy.
- Add lettuce and sauce right before serving for the freshest texture.
- Do not overfill the tortillas or they will be harder to fold.
