- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk milk and eggs together.
- Carefully cut the onion into petals without slicing through the base and gently spread it open.
- Dip the onion into the flour mixture, coating every petal thoroughly.
- Dip the coated onion into the egg mixture.
- Return the onion to the flour mixture for a second coating.
- Carefully lower the onion into the hot oil and fry for 7 to 10 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, paprika, and garlic powder together for the dipping sauce.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
