Cheese Steak Hamburger Helper is a hearty, cheesy one-pot dinner that combines seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, peppers, and melty mozzarella for a homemade version of a family favorite skillet meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp A1 Steak Sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 2 1/2 cups spiral pasta
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink.
  2. Add the chopped onion and chopped green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are softened.
  3. Drain excess grease from the pan.
  4. Stir in steak seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oregano. Mix to coat the meat and veggies evenly.
  5. Add beef broth, A1 Steak Sauce, tomato sauce, milk, and uncooked spiral pasta to the skillet. Stir well.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover with a lid and reduce heat to low.
  7. Cook covered for 10-15 minutes, or until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
  8. Stir in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese until melted and combined.
  9. Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover with lid until cheese is fully melted.
  10. Serve hot and enjoy!
