Description
Cheese Steak Hamburger Helper is a hearty, cheesy one-pot dinner that combines seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, peppers, and melty mozzarella for a homemade version of a family favorite skillet meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 tsp steak seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 2 tbsp A1 Steak Sauce
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 2 1/2 cups spiral pasta
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink.
- Add the chopped onion and chopped green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are softened.
- Drain excess grease from the pan.
- Stir in steak seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and oregano. Mix to coat the meat and veggies evenly.
- Add beef broth, A1 Steak Sauce, tomato sauce, milk, and uncooked spiral pasta to the skillet. Stir well.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover with a lid and reduce heat to low.
- Cook covered for 10-15 minutes, or until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in 1 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese until melted and combined.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the top. Cover with lid until cheese is fully melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken if desired.
- Try provolone or cheddar for a different cheese flavor.
