Description

Warm cheesy roasted garlic bread with crispy golden edges, soft buttery center, roasted garlic spread, and bubbling melted cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large loaf French bread
  • 2 whole garlic bulbs
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the tops off the garlic bulbs, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35 minutes until soft.
  3. Slice the French bread loaf lengthwise and place both halves on the baking sheet.
  4. Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl and mix with softened butter, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley.
  5. Spread the roasted garlic butter evenly over the bread.
  6. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese evenly over the bread.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
  8. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes if desired for extra golden cheesy edges.
  9. Slice into pieces and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for smoother melting.
  • Roasted garlic gives a sweeter and richer flavor than raw garlic.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat in the oven for the crispiest texture.
