- 1 large loaf French bread
- 2 whole garlic bulbs
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice the tops off the garlic bulbs, drizzle with olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast for 35 minutes until soft.
- Slice the French bread loaf lengthwise and place both halves on the baking sheet.
- Squeeze the roasted garlic cloves into a bowl and mix with softened butter, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley.
- Spread the roasted garlic butter evenly over the bread.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese evenly over the bread.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
- Broil for 1 to 2 minutes if desired for extra golden cheesy edges.
- Slice into pieces and serve warm.
