  • Saltine Crackers: 1 sleeve (about 40 crackers)
  • Unsalted Butter: 1 cup (2 sticks)
  • Brown Sugar: 1 cup, packed
  • Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips: 2 cups
  • Toppings (optional): Crushed candy canes, sprinkles, chopped nuts


Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 3 minutes while stirring constantly.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer across the baking sheet, covering every inch.
