Description

Golden crispy beef taquitos filled with seasoned beef and melted cheese, baked until crunchy and served with delicious dipping sauces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the ground beef and diced onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add garlic, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Warm the tortillas slightly to prevent cracking.
  5. Fill each tortilla with beef mixture and shredded cheeses, then roll tightly.
  6. Place taquitos seam side down on the baking sheet.
  7. Brush lightly with olive oil and bake for 15 to 18 minutes until crispy and golden.
  8. Cool slightly before serving with salsa, sour cream, or guacamole.

Notes

  • Warm tortillas before rolling to prevent splitting.
  • Do not overfill the taquitos.
  • Air fry leftovers to restore crispiness.
  • Add jalapeños for extra heat.
