Ultra crispy long fries loaded with gooey melted cheddar and mozzarella cheese, finished with creamy cheese sauce for the ultimate comforting snack or side dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cheese sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the potatoes into long fries.
  3. Toss the fries with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in a large bowl.
  4. Spread the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  6. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the fries.
  7. Return the fries to the oven for 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Drizzle warm cheese sauce over the top.
  9. Finish with chopped parsley.
  10. Serve immediately while hot and crispy.

Notes

  • Dry the potatoes thoroughly before baking for extra crispiness.
  • Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melt and texture.
  • Do not overcrowd the baking sheet or the fries may steam.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for crispier results.
