- 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed well
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F or preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
- Slice the pressed tofu into fry-shaped strips.
- In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
- Toss the tofu gently in olive oil.
- Coat the tofu evenly in the seasoning mixture and panko breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the coated tofu fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or air fryer basket.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle lightly with extra sea salt while still warm and serve immediately.
