Description

Golden crispy tofu fries coated in seasoned panko breadcrumbs and baked or air fried until crunchy outside and tender inside. Perfect for dipping, snacking, or serving as a fun appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 block extra firm tofu, pressed well
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F or preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  2. Slice the pressed tofu into fry-shaped strips.
  3. In a bowl, mix the cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
  4. Toss the tofu gently in olive oil.
  5. Coat the tofu evenly in the seasoning mixture and panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange the coated tofu fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet or air fryer basket.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or air fry for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden and crispy.
  8. Sprinkle lightly with extra sea salt while still warm and serve immediately.

  • Do not overcrowd the baking tray or air fryer basket.
