Description

Rich, fudgy brownies bursting with juicy cherries and melty chocolate chips—an irresistible twist on a classic treat that’s both indulgent and comforting.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (95g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (50g) cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter and whisk in the sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the cherries and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top and press them slightly into the batter.
  7. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool completely in the pan before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean cuts.
  • Chill before slicing for perfect squares.
  • Substitute fresh cherries with thawed frozen or soaked dried cherries if needed.
  • Want extra flavor? Add a pinch of espresso powder to the batter.
