Description

Crispy potato cheese balls with fluffy mashed potatoes, gooey melted cheese centers, and a crunchy golden breadcrumb coating. Perfect for snacks, parties, or comfort food cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, flour, and milk until combined.
  3. Place breadcrumbs into one bowl and beaten eggs into another bowl.
  4. Scoop portions of potato mixture and flatten slightly.
  5. Add mozzarella cheese into the center and roll into balls.
  6. Dip each ball into egg and coat evenly with breadcrumbs.
  7. Fry in hot oil for 3 to 4 minutes until golden and crispy.
  8. Transfer onto paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Chill the potato mixture before shaping for easier handling.
  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
  • Do not overcrowd the frying pan while cooking.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the oven for best texture.
