Description

These buttery crescent rolls are stuffed with a savory mix of sausage and cream cheese, making them perfect for breakfast, appetizers, or game-day snacks. Easy to make and even easier to eat, these crescents are sure to impress!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Prepare the Filling:
In a medium bowl, mix the cooked and crumbled sausage with the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, and shredded cheddar cheese (if using).
Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Prepare the Crescent Rolls:
Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles.
Place 1-2 tablespoons of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  • Roll the Crescents:
Starting from the wide end, roll up each triangle tightly, enclosing the filling.
Place the rolled crescents seam-side down on a baking sheet.
  • Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown.
  • Serve:
Allow to cool slightly before serving. These are best enjoyed warm!

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Make-Ahead: Prepare the crescents in advance and store the unbaked rolls in the refrigerator. Bake just before serving.
  • Freezing: These can be frozen before baking. Once rolled, place the crescents on a baking sheet, freeze until solid, and then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding an extra few minutes to the baking time.
